Letter from the Editor
To remember Harry Allcock (IFI CLAIMS Patent Services and longtime contributor to the CINF division) we have re-printed Harry’s and Peter Rusch’s account of Harry’s Party over the years. My first experience with Harry’s Party was only a few months ago at the ACS Meeting in Dallas, TX earlier this year. All I will say is: yes, it really is that good. Harry’s Party will continue to be an integral component of the CINF social activities.
In this fall 2014 pre-conference issue of the ACS Chemical Information Bulletin (CIB), we have a couple of new features including Member Profiles by Donna T. Wrublewski, and an Assistant Editor Column from Teri Vogel on Science and Popular Culture. Moreover, Bob Buntrock (our Chief Book Reviewer) submitted a review of Mario Markus’ Chemical Poems: One on Each Element. We also have information on the social events, committee reports, notes from our sponsors, and the technical program. Thank you Donna, Teri, Bob and everyone else who submitted content and helped with the production of the CIB!
I hope you enjoy reading this issue of the CIB. I’ll see you in San Francisco!
